It is not easy to spend GBP48 million on one home, even by the standards of global megastar Adele. The Easy on Me singer added another Beverly Hills home to her impressive property portfolio, which already includes three homes in California’s Hidden Valley. On Instagram, the singer shared a photo of Rich Paul, her boyfriend and sports agent, outside their new home — which was once home to Sylvester Stallone. It was a great deal for the couple, and all things are relative. Sylvester “Sly”, Rocky star, listed his home for sale at $110 million (GBP90million) in January 2013. Rumours have it that Adele has spent GBP43 million ($52million) less than Stallone’s original asking price. The price of the North Beverly Park home was cut to $85 million (GBP62m), earlier this year by Westside Estate Agency. Even though it is a significantly reduced price, Adele’s already impressive portfolio has nearly doubled in one transaction. The six-bedroom home is located in North Beverly Park, just a short drive from Adele’s Hidden Valley compound. It is not known if the Rocky statue that Stallone kept in his memorabilia room was part of the sale. Adele recently revealed that her most prized possession was a framed piece Celine Dion’s chewing gum, which she received from James Corden, Late Late Show host and friend. However, it remains to be seen if Adele spent GBP47.6million ($58 million) on Stallone’s former home. In November’s Vogue interview, the Rolling in the Deep star said that many of her pandemic exercises took place while Rocky series was being viewed on the gym TV. The enormous home Stallone is selling has a professional movie screening area, a cigar room with an air-filtration system, and a custom bar. The home, which is Mediterranean-style, also has a guesthouse, two bedrooms, an infinity pool, and eight-car garage. It is situated on 3.5 acres. Hidden Valley is a short drive away. This is where Adele added her former neighbour Nicole Richie’s home to her collection in June 2013.
